- Pre-Enrolment Considerations
- Be 15 years of age or older.
- Have finished secondary school or are no longer at school (unless VETiS approved).
- Permanently reside in Queensland.
- Be an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), or temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency.
- Not hold nor be enrolled in a Certificate III or higher qualification. This includes any equivalent Certificate III or higher-level qualification irrespective of whether the qualification was completed as part of a university degree, apprenticeship or traineeship. However, a Certificate III level qualification completed while at secondary school and foundation skills training does not exclude you from accessing the Certificate III Guarantee program.
- Employment status does not matter. Recipients of the Certificate III Guarantee can be unemployed and seeking work, or be working on a full-time, part-time, be self-employed or work on a casual basis.
- Be eligible for Certificate III Guarantee Boost funding – this is for jobseekers that require new skills to obtain a job. For more information please visit the Back To Work website.
- Enrolment form.
- Photo ID (provided in colour)Driver licence [Front & Back], proof of age card, or passport.
- Citizenship (provided in colour)Green medicare card, passport or birth certificate.
- If you completed any Certificate III or above courses while at school, you will need to provide a statement of attainment and a senior certificate.
- If you completed any Certificate III or above courses prior to 1995, you will need to provide a statement of attainment, displaying the year of completion.
- If you have previously completed any accredited study, please provide a copy of your qualification or statement of attainment for the purposes of credit transfer.
- Recognition of prior learning: If you have prior experience in your chosen field of study, please request from Gold Training, further information on applying for Recognition of Prior Learning.
- Evidence of concessional status (if applicable).

Will You Need To Contribute To The Cost Of Training?
If you complete training under the Certificate III Guarantee funding, you will still be required to contribute a small amount to the total cost of your training through a co-contribution fee. The co-contribution fee is payable on enrolment and may be paid on your behalf by an employer or another third party. If you are a concessional student, this fee amounts to $25. For all other students who don’t qualify for the concessional rate, the co-contribution fee equates to $50.

- You hold a Health Care concession card or Pensioner concession card issued under Commonwealth law.
- You are the partner or a dependant of a person who holds a health care concession card or pensioner concession card, and you are named on the card.
- You provide Gold Training with an official form under Commonwealth legislation confirming that you, your partner, or the person of whom you are a dependant is entitled to concessions under a health care or pensioner concession card
- You are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- You are a school student and is enrolled in a VETiS program (may include youth in detention)
- You have a disability
- You are an adult prisoner

To qualify for the concessional rate, you must meet one or more of the following criteria
- You hold a Health Care concession card or Pensioner concession card issued under Commonwealth law.
- You are the partner or a dependant of a person who holds a health care concession card or pensioner concession card, and you are named on the card.
- You provide Gold Training with an official form under Commonwealth legislation confirming that you, your partner, or the person of whom you are a dependant is entitled to concessions under a health care or pensioner concession card
- You are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander
- You are a school student and is enrolled in a VETiS program (may include youth in detention)
