Are you looking for a comprehensive first aid course that will give you the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently respond to a range of medical emergencies? Look no further than Gold Training’s HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Course. With our experienced trainers delivering quality instruction in small classes we ensure that all participants have ample opportunity to practice their new skills in realistic scenarios. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid which can be used as evidence of competency when applying for jobs or renewing professional memberships.
Participants will be introduced to content, including but not limited to:
- CPR and AED
- Basic life support (DRSABCD)
- Choking and airway obstruction
- Bleeding and wound care
- Envenomation
- Unconsciousness
- Head, neck and spinal injuries
- Cardiac conditions

We offer blended learning courses which combine both face-to-face practical training with online learning modules. This allows students to get the best of both worlds – they have the flexibility to complete the theory component online and at their own pace with our engaging Learning Management System CoAssemble. At the same time, they are still gaining first-hand experience by completing the practical component face-to-face with one of our Gold Standard trainers.

- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
You are about to start an incredible journey with the Provide First Aid unit of competency! On completion, you will have learnt how to respond effectively in emergency situations and operate confidently under pressure. Plus, your knowledge in first aid procedures will be taken to a whole new level! You’ll also learn valuable communication skills as well as gain insights into evaluating incidents and assessing your own performance. What’s more, here’s what you can expect when completing this course:
- Responding appropriately when confronted with an emergency situation
- Knowing the correct first aid techniques for different scenarios
- Being able to communicate clearly details of an incident
- Evaluating incidents and understanding your own performance
This is just a snapshot of what’s included in this course – so get ready to take on some serious lifesaving skills!
You don’t need any particular qualifications or experience to complete this unit of competency. However, to make sure you stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practice, it’s recommended that you refresh your first aid skills every three years. This includes refreshing the cardiopulmonary resuscitation component annually.

- Face-to-face group pricing – May be available depending upon application and we are happy to discuss this further with those who are interested
