Health and Safety Representative Training
Health and Safety Representative Training
Course Overview
The role of Health and Safety Representative (HSR) is crucial in promoting safe practices and identifying potential health and safety issues in the workplace. HSRs are responsible for liaising with other employees and reporting any issues to upper management. Effective HSRs have the ability to identify potential hazards and work to find solutions to mitigate those risks.
Effective February 1, 2019, all elected HSRs are required to attend an approved training course within three months of their election. This is a mandatory requirement as per Section 21 of the Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 [QLD]. Failure to complete this training within the specified timeframe will disqualify the HSR from fulfilling their role.
